Fun Day
Jackson's four month checkup was yesterday. We were thrilled to hear that he is officially well and we are now allowed to join the rest of the world. Ten days of being cooped up was beginning to make me crazy. In celebration of Jackson's recovery and the hopeful return of my sanity we went to a "Mommy and Me" class for babies at The Little Gym. We had a blast!

4 months old/ RSV update
Thank you all for your prayers! Jackson is beginning to feel better (praise God)! We are continuing with the breathing treatments and hopefully he will be fully recovered soon. Below are some new pictures of our sweet boy.
Jackson is four months old!I was changing his diaper this morning when he reached down and grabbed his feet for the first time! I screamed for Daniel to grab the camera...I'm so glad I caught this. He loves the jumperoo. More than "jump" he walks in circles and spins himself around.

He is so strong and is already beginning to try and pull himself up so he can sit.

RSV Update
After Jackson's breathing worsened and he began wheezing, we took him back to the doctor on Tuesday morning. Due to his congestion, nursing is difficult which has caused him to lose five ounces. Luckily he has a reserve (when you have a seventeen pound baby this isn't too concerning). We are working hard to keep him hydrated. In addition to RSV our poor little guy has double ear infections.
Since he is having a hard time breathing the doctor gave us a breathing machine to use at home. We give him breathing treatments every four hours. As you can see from the photo below, he is a little trooper! Our pediatrician said that if we would be more comfortable hospitalizing him than she would admit him but the treatment that he would receive there would be the same thing that we are doing at home and since he would be exposed to many more germs at the hospital we all decided that it would be in his best interest to be at home. We are praying (and hope you are too) that our precious baby feels better soon.
If he gets any worse I will be taking her up on her offer to admit him.
P.S. Daniel is at home sick too. Please pray for BOTH of my boys!

Poor Baby!
Our precious baby has RSV. Respiratory syncytial virus, or RSV, is a respiratory virus that infects the lungs and breathing passages.
We thought that Jackson was getting a cold but were alarmed when he seemed to have more difficulty breathing and his cough worsened. We took him to the doctor today to be sure because I was aware that RSV was going around. We were shocked to find out Jackson was infected because we are so cautious, it just proves that we can’t protect him from everything. Thankfully, so far he seems to have a mild case. Please pray that our little guy feels better soon! It’s so pitiful to hear him coughing and snorting.
